Stuffed Mushrooms The number one side dish in all of New Jersey is none other than the stuffed mushroom! My husband, Tony, is known for this side dish. He adds cream cheese and spicy Italian sausage together to make the mushroom cap filling. Just toss some breadcrumbs on top and bake. Looks like I just gave away my husband's "world famous" recipe and way of hogging all the compliments at Christmas, sorry, not sorry.
Deviled Eggs This is an out-of-the-box choice that I fully endorse. The often-overlooked deviled egg is a protein-packed, pop-able paradise. Add a pickled jalapeno or scallions on top and it is hard to beat (see what I did there?)
Mac and Cheese I'm so glad this food hug made the list. Is there a person on the planet that does not love macs and cheese? Give me any incarnation and I'm in.
Cranberry Sauce Really? I thought cranberry sauce was a one-trick pony on Thanksgiving. I mean, it is OK but is anyone ever really ready for this jelly?
Creamed Spinach I'm also perplexed by this choice. If you make it into spinach dip, now we're talking. Anything short of that I'm going to have to disqualify.
